Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Management Accountant with a strong reporting background and expertise in accounting and financial modelling, to join our dynamic team and contribute to the financial health and success of our growing operations at Fulham Pier. The Management Accountant job is a pivotal role, where you will work closely with the Financial Controller & Chief Profit Officer on a day-to-day basis. You will be a fully qualified accountant with broad ranging experience, including production of management accounts, budgeting, forecasting, and commercial business partnering. The ideal candidate will provide strategic insights and support to drive the financial performance of the business.

Responsibilities

  • Producing a full set of monthly Management Accounts
  • Leading the annual budgeting and quarterly re-forecasting process whilst supporting the budget holders throughout the process
  • Maintain and develop financial models for the different business units (hotel, bars, restaurants, and members club).
  • Liaising with and being the first point of call for all Fulham Pier operators on financial issues
  • Providing insight and support using both financial and non-financial data and KPI’s, as well as challenging all departments on performance, future plans and outlook
  • Develop and own financial business planning and analysis. Prepare and deliver business performance insight and reporting including regular forecasting, commentary, and identification of performance variances, ensuring that it is easily understood and fit for use by the business.
  • As required, undertake financial modelling, scenario planning, business case preparation and option appraisal to support effective decision making and improve business performance.
  • Working with the team to identify and roll out process improvements as well as helping and mentoring when necessary.
  • Assisting the Financial Controller / Chief Profit Officer on ad hoc reports and analysis
  • Reporting monthly financials to the Finance Controller alongside assistance with the annual audit, accounting under FRS 102.

Essential experience

  • Highly competent using Microsoft Excel (any financial modelling experience would be advantageous)
  • Excellent analytical skills and experience in challenging data as well as drawing conclusions on the bigger picture and how that can impact commercial decision making.

Preferred experience

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience producing a full set of Management Accounts
