Role

Join our team as a Kitchen Administrator and become an integral part of a dynamic food service environment at Fulham Pier, where your organisational skills and attention to detail will shine. In this pivotal role, you will manage staff scheduling, payroll timesheets, and allergen management processes, ensuring the kitchen operates smoothly and complies with food safety regulations. We’re looking for an individual with experience in administrative coordination, strong communication abilities, and a solid understanding of kitchen operations. By facilitating effective collaboration between the kitchen team and management, you’ll help create a safe and efficient workspace while supporting your colleagues in their professional development. What you’ll do:

  • Book staff to meet operational requirements, ensuring adequate coverage for all shifts.
  • Authorise staff timesheets for payroll in collaboration with the Kitchen Manager/Head Chef.
  • Maintain records of staff attendance, overtime, and shift changes.
  • Maintain accurate records of allergens for all menu items, ensuring they are regularly updated.
  • Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure all allergen-related processes are adhered to.
  • Ensure clear and accurate communication of allergen information to service staff and customers when required.
  • Support compliance with food safety regulations related to allergen management
  • Order and monitor inventory of kitchen supplies, ensuring timely restocking.
  • Maintain updated records for kitchen expenses, staff schedules, and compliance documents.
  • Assist with the onboarding and training of new kitchen staff as required, including allergen processes.
  • Act as a point of contact between kitchen staff, management, and other departments.
  • Handle staff queries regarding schedules, timesheets, and allergen management promptly and professionally.

What you bring:

Experience:

  • Prior experience in an administrative or coordination role, preferably in a kitchen or food service environment.
  • Experience with staff scheduling and payroll processes is an advantage.

Skills:

  • Strong organisational and time management abilities.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficient in MS Office and workforce management tools.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Knowledge:

  • Basic understanding of kitchen operations and food safety regulations.
  • Familiarity with allergen management processes and record-keeping.
  • ⁠Knowledge of workforce management systems e.g. Humanforce and payroll software is a plus.
