The Role

A new and exciting opportunity awaits an experienced hospitality professional to join our team and assume the newly created position of Floor Manager.

Located within the newly developed Fulham Pier, a lively space celebrated for its stunning location and laid-back charm, Lighthouse Social promises unforgettable experiences at the heart of South-West London.

You will play a pivotal role in ensuring our guests receive the highest standard of service and every dining experience is exceptional. You will lead the front-of-house team, ensuring that service is seamless and customer satisfaction remains a top priority. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of the dining floor in a high-energy environment.

The restaurant will have a unique high-end identity and therefore the role requires a unique Floor Manager with their own brand of personality and flair, to deliver a service to clientele who expect only the best.

Main responsibilities

  • Lead the floor staff during service, ensuring smooth operations and exceptional customer service.
  • Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate service.
  • Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally and efficiently.
  • Train, motivate, and manage the front-of-house team to ensure high performance.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming dining environment.
  • Assist in managing schedules to ensure optimal staffing during peak times.
  • Provide feedback to continuously improve service quality.

The ideal candidate

It is essential that you have previous experience of working as a Floor Manager in a busy high end establishment. You will have the confidence and panache to practice your craft in a way that contributes to the overall atmosphere of Lighthouse Social, providing an elegant and remarkable experience for all guests.

Proven experience managing front-of-house teams is essential, as is strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide staff.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are also essential as you will be focused on building strong relationships with customers stakeholders and employees.

Above all, you will have the drive an ability to lead and manage the front-of-house team to provide a seamless dining experience for all of our guests.

You will also have:

  • Knowledge of health, safety, and hygiene standards in a restaurant setting.
  • Strong leadership skills, with experience training and mentoring junior chefs.
  • Ability to work under pressure, maintaining high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Excellent problem solving abilities
  • Level 2 in Food Safety

What we offer

We offer a salary of £28,000 to £32,000 plus excellent benefits that include:
