Event Programming Executive

Role

The Event Programming Executive will be responsible for curating and executing a dynamic events program at Fulham Pier. Working closely with the venue partner’s Head of Programming and under the guidance of the Head of Sales and Senior Creative Programmer, you will help shape an exciting calendar of events designed to attract diverse audiences and drive engagement throughout the year. In collaboration with the Head of Marketing, you will also work to raise public and industry awareness, boosting ticket sales and visibility.

This role involves forging new partnerships, and working directly with artists, contributors, brands, community organisations, and other key stakeholders to deliver exceptional live events. The ideal candidate will bring creativity, cultural insight, and excellent organisational skills to ensure the successful delivery of every event.

What you’ll do:

  • Maintain a close relationship with the venue partner programming team, meeting regularly to share successes, targets, and actions and set the programme and events schedule
  • Research content providers, artists, promoters and attend appointments to engage
  • Negotiate with contributors and artists to deliver content within budget, and notify management of agreements
  • Liaise with the event managers to identify venue requirements with regard to the programme
  • Audience development and communications
  • Working with marketing to increase the profile of Fulham Pier and increase the size and breadth of the audience
  • Consult regularly with the Marketing Manager to contribute to stories about events and ensure websites and socials are up to date
  • Achievement of budgeted targets
  • Produce accurate and timely reports as required
  • ⁠Be visible within the local industry, launching Fulham Pier as a new space, attending regular networking and engagement events
  • Achievement of budget/reforecast revenue targets
  • Generation of a new business pipeline
  • CRM systems compliance
  • Personal achievement of KPI’s
  • Support Senior Creative Programmer to compile weekly/monthly reporting on top line sales, pipeline, and sales activity as required.
  • Strategic business plan implemented

What you bring:

  • ⁠Proven experience in a dynamic and innovative creative programming environment.
  • Strong track record of building and nurturing relationships with artists, content providers, and collaborators to deliver exceptional programming.
  • Solid understanding of budgeting and financial processes, with a keen eye for managing resources effectively.
  • In-depth knowledge of the cultural and entertainment sectors, with a passion for staying ahead of emerging trends.
  • Expertise in marketing strategies and audience development, ensuring broad engagement and brand visibility.
  • A highly creative and forward-thinking mindset, always seeking innovative solutions and fresh ideas.
  • Exceptional team player, with experience collaborating across multiple stakeholders to bring ideas to life.
  • Deeply attuned to the creative sector, with particular expertise in audio, visual, and creative industry
  • Outstanding business relationship skills, adept at building long-lasting, positive partnerships.
  • Extensive knowledge of the London events market, with an understanding of key players, venues, and trends.
  • ⁠Expert negotiation skills, capable of securing the best terms and delivering win-win outcomes.
